Would you like to make a little extra cash?
Frugal, Freebies and Deals is a money saving blog that features shopping deals, coupons, freebies and money saving articles. This year, we are looking to expand that last part!!
If you have ideas about saving money, experiences to share, craft and DIY ideas, budget fashion, amazing recipes..etc.. we are looking to feature you!! We would love it if you were a blogger, but you don’t have to be to qualify. We are just looking for great content to share with FFD readers.
Here’s how it works:
• You submit an original (not been published and written by you) post, including high quality images if it is a craft, DIY or recipe, to: ffdposts at gmail dot com (remove spaces).
• Choose whether you would like a “guest post” feature with a mention and link back to your blog/website OR a $10 payment which will include author credit but no link back.
• Payment options include: $10 by PayPal, Starbucks or Amazon gift card.
• We will contact you if your post is chosen, otherwise you will not hear from us (we would love to get back to everyone but at this time that is not possible).
• You are welcome to submit as many posts as you like; there is no limit.
Note: I am a big supporter of foster adoption (and adoption in general), so we are also interested in posts about adoption experiences.
So send your ideas to ffdposts at gmail dot com (remove spaces). We are excited to share what you have to say!!
More about Jen and FFD:
My family started feeling the effects of the recession about 1 year before many others (including our friends and family)- as we were self-employed in a luxury industry. Our incomes quickly dropped and we had to start making some changes.
I live in Southern California with my Hubby and we have two little girls (6 and 7) that we adopted through San Diego Foster Care. We felt called by God to adopt, specifically through foster care and although it has not been easy it has been an amazing experience. I have heard people say that it takes someone special to love a child who is not your biological child. Well, maybe I am biased through my own experience, but I don’t think it does.. it just takes commitment and a willingness to love (which most of us have). Our capacity to love simply does not “fill up”, it just grows and grows.

i use dryer sheets as dusters, they provided great cling for the dust and you can usually get a few rooms out of them too.
Re-use appropriate paper towels by rinsing them out and setting them over the sink to dry. These are great for catching quick spills on counters or spot treating tiles.
The best source of activty is your public library which has speakers, computer access, movies, ours has a lunch bumch, and crafts and they recommrnd community activities. I am 72 and our local hospital has a family friends group. We also have a community college which had seminars and OLLI activities. When weather is nice, take your dog to the woods or state parks or national parks. Then, if you have wooded areas, you can participate in neighborhood clean up days. I am 72 and can spend hours on my Nook. Thete is always public TV and couponing. Some local shopping centers have free activities – health fairs. Our Center for Rural Development had parties and craft displays.
My husband and I am VERY interested in foster to adopt. Although I’ve heard lots of cautionary tales, I think we would still like to do it. We have two children of our own, and I just recently had a miscarriage. We live in Northern California, and we’re just starting to look into the process. Thanks for the info on submitting a post!
We arre having a warm winter in Kentucky so far. Usiing edible flowers for foods not only saves momey but is flavorful. Plus movie nites att home with DVD’s, TMC and AMC. Plus taking dog to play at state parks.
I save money by doing rebates, especially try me free rebates. I turn them into money makers by only buying the item with a coupon or using CVS Extra bucks or Walgreens Register Rewards. Most try me free rebates are for the full purchase price so sometimes depending on the price of the item and what coupon or rewards you use, you can get an item for free or cheap and then submit a rebate and get more back. Also only buy an item if you really intend to use it. Avoiding the temptation to do every deal you read about on savings blogs. I like to ask myself if I really need the item or rather just keep save the money in my bank account.
How long would a typical post need to be – what’s your ideal word count, please? I’d love to send some pieces in to you from the UK.
Use liquid fabric softener to add to damp washcloth and throw in dryer is a less expensive alternative to dryer sheets or adding softener during rinse cycle in washer.
